I am humbled and honored to have been elected your next President of COBANC. I will give my best efforts to make you proud to have elected me. I will devote my time and myself to the obligations and the duties of this post.
With the cooperation of everyone involved, those elected and you the members, we will move forward as one cohesive unit.
COBANC cannot function with one person alone. We are here to serve you, and to do so to the best of our ability. I cannot do it alone. That is why there will be another executive board member with me at all meetings as well as in the office to assist in the daily operations.
We have a lot of changes ahead of us in the next few months. We must move by the end of October. Not only is our plan to be closer to our court houses, but we plan on saving money with the move. We must sit down with OCA and negotiate an extension to our contract to bring us in line with the other court unions. We must continue to fight for the clerk upgrade, along with the clerks' union, as well as continuing the dialogue for upgrading all titles. Our by-laws have been under construction since 2011 and needs attention to finally be completed. We will bring back the dinner dance as a retiree celebration for our members who deserve the recognition from their union.
These are just a few of the many things we need to accomplish. At the end of our two-year term it is our intention that we would have transformed these possibilities into stories of success and triumph. Thank you again for this opportunity to represent you.
