Every year the Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau County (COBANC) honors the memory of the civilians who perished and the brave professionals who gave the supreme sacrifice in the performance of their duties on September 11, 2001, especially our own Capt. William "Harry" Thompson, Sgt. Mitchel Wallace and Sgt. Thomas Jurgens. We are still reeling after all these years from our tremendous loss. We will never forget.
This year we will be participating in a commemorative motorcycle ride and ceremony that begins at Jones Beach State Park and ends at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, which is located at the site of the original World Trade Center in Manhattan. We would be proud to have you join us for this special event as we commemorate the fearless devotion to duty and service our personnel showed in responding to that terrible tragedy.
To confirm your participation, please email 9/11MemorialRide@exec.ny.gov with the subject line: RSVP for 2018 Memorial Ride
