We hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. We would like to remind everyone, while at work in the courthouses, to be courteous of your fellow members by practicing good hygiene. Remember to wear your mask while moving about the courthouse or working around others in a courtroom or hall. If you become aware that you have had "close contact " (within 6 feet for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more within a 24 hour period starting from 2 days before ) with a co-worker who has tested positive for COVID after you have answered the daily questionnaire and have started your day at your work station, please notify your supervisor immediately.
A reminder that if you or your office needs more hand sanitizer or PPE, see your supervisor or go down to the security operations area and they will accommodate your request.
As you have seen over the past two months, plexiglass has been installed in the rear office areas. As the focus has been on this, other maintenance has fallen by the wayside. Please see your delegate for whom to contact in your building to place a work-order to get that door or window or light etc. fixed. A complete list of delegates can be found here.
And finally, next Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day. Voting is your constitutional right and one of the great privileges of being an American citizen. Regardless of your political affiliation, we ask that you exercise that right. As with our union, there should be full participation. In our last COBANC election for first vice president, only half of the membership voted. That is pathetic! Everyone should be casting a vote for one of the candidates. It effects you and your livelihood. So don't sit on the sidelines! No matter how busy you may be, please get out on Tuesday and let your vote be counted.
