Every year the Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau County (COBANC) honors the memory of the civilians who perished and the brave professionals who gave the supreme sacrifice in the performance of their duties on September 11, 2001, especially our own Capt. William "Harry" Thompson, Sgt. Mitchel Wallace and Sgt. Thomas Jurgens. We are still reeling after all these years from our tremendous loss. We will never forget.
This year we will be participating in a commemorative motorcycle ride and ceremony that begins at Jones Beach State Park and ends at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza, which is located at the site of the original World Trade Center in Manhattan. We would be proud to have you join us for this special event as we commemorate the fearless devotion to duty and service our personnel showed in responding to that terrible tragedy.
Please join us regardless of whether or not you receive a confirmation email. It is not uncommon for the organizer of this event to be overwhelmed with email submissions. We plan on meeting up from a central location and riding in to Jones Beach. Please contact us at email@example.com if you are considering joining us for this special event.
