Dear Sister and Brother COBANC members,
On June 19, 2017 ballots for the 2011-2019 proposed contract are being placed in the mail. You will have until July 10th to have them post-marked and the vote count will be on July 17, 2017.
In the ballot mailout there is a cover letter from me, a contract summary sheet and, of course, the ballot and envelope to mail back. Below you will find a PDF file that contains the entire Memorandum of Agreement which represent all the changes negotiated that differ from our last contract, that being the 2007-2011 contract that we have been working under, to date, since 2007. Also, you will find a Summary sheet, Salary Schedule and Retroactive Pay Chart. Please take the time to read, at least, the summary sheet and retro chart (if not the entire MOA) so you are fully informed of what you are voting on.
All things considered I strongly urge you to vote YES on this contract as it contains pay increases – past and future, retro monies, increases in: geographic/location pay, longevity bonuses, uniform allowances and an end of contract bonus as well as over 20 additional or enhanced benefits; many that will affect your everyday work life in a positive manner.
I’m asking all members to vote, whether you like this contract or not, right away, so the ballot doesn’t get lost or forgotten due to all things going on in your life that keep you busy.
