Raises and Retro

Tuesday, August 29, 2017
Your next paycheck, September 6th,  will include an 8% raise, along with retroactive pay for the time period from October 1, 2014 to date. The September 6th check will be taxed by the Supplemental Aggregate method. This is how it has always been done in the past.

Granted, this IS NOT how it was done for the uniform checks. Those checks were taxed using the "Supplemental Flat" method which requires the state to tax at a flat 25%.

I have received confirmation of this information independently through the NYS Comptroller's office - NOT OCA.
