I sat down to write my Thanksgiving message and I couldn't think of anything to be thankful for. It seems that to be overworked, underappreciated and not respected has finally taken its toll on me! Coming to work and not enjoying it is very hard. It seems like my life is slipping away (20 minutes at a clip). No matter what you do, someone always wants more from you, (they have standards and goals to meet).
So, when Pete asked me what happened to my Thanksgiving message, I told him I didn't have it in me this year and that no one reads it anyway. He said "I read it" I thought well, if he likes it, maybe others do too? So here is my post-Thanksgiving message to all.
Thank you for all the hard work and dedication that you give to this job and for making an overburdened court system work each day. Thank you for giving 110% to make sure that everyone is safe, that every file is entered, every case gets called and that every word is taken down correctly. Without each and every member of this union the court system would not work. You are professionals and we all should remember that. So, this thanksgiving season be thankful for all that is good in your life, and the friends and family that you have. Remember it's the little things in life that mean the most.
So, THANK YOU, from Mike Riveiro and the rest of the executive board.
