Continuing to Fight for the January 4th Snow Day

Wednesday, January 31, 2018
Since 7:45 in the morning, on January 4th, Billy was fighting with OCA regarding the "white out" conditions on Long Island; first asking them NOT to open that morning, and when that didn't move up the channels quick enough, for an early closure. He was informed, at about 10:15 that morning, that the courts in Nassau would be closing at 11:00 AM. They NEVER should have been open.

Talks then moved on to turning the entire day into excused leave AND extra comp time for the people that braved the conditions and came to work. While not getting an outright "No" from OCA is a good sign, conversation continues. I am very confident that this matter will be resolved and I ask the membership to please be patient and give me time to work it out.
